mvDELTAe - cost-effective PCI Express frame grabber
Up to now the mvDELTAe distinguished itself as a cost-effective solution and in its price class it is characterized by a high quality and functionality. The new PCI Express model extends the mvDELTA family and therefore the mvDELTA is prepared for the new bus future.

The advantages of the PCI Express are obvious. Each whether PCI Express card or onboard (e.g. sound and can work with full bandwidth of 250 Mbytes/s. For this reason multiple mvDELTAe cards can be used without transfer bottlenecks in one system.

The image processing board itself represents an elegant solution for almost all image digitization applications, e.g. in quality assurance, surveillance systems, microscopy and medical engineering. Particulary thanks to the disablable AGC function (automatic gain controller), specific applications are now viable since unwanted fluctuation in brightness is eliminated through continuous AGC activity. The frame grabber can handle composite and Y/C colour video signals and has a PCI master DMA interface for real-time data transfer to the main memory of the PC or graphics card. Images are digitized in high quality with the full PAL resolution of 768 x 576 pixels. For this purpose, board provides four software-switchable video inputs (with up to 50 frames per second) for composite video signals whereas one input can be operated optionally as a Y/C input. Image parameters such as contrast, brightness and colour saturation can be set digitally. Digitized images can be scaled horizontally and vertically pixel by pixel using an interpolating scaler.

The mvIMPACT Base library is included in the scope of supply of the frame grabber. A variety of drivers for Windows and Linux are also included.

The launch of the mvDELTAe is planned for the first quarter 2007.
