Camera definitions

Please copy the downloaded camera definition (.xml file) into the following folder:

  • Windows XP:
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\MATRIX VISION\mvIMPACT acquire\CameraFiles\
  • Windows Vista / 7:
    C:\Users\Public\Documents\MATRIX VISION\mvIMPACT acquire\CameraFiles\

Afterwards, please start wxPropView and select the new definition from the dropdown menu:
Setting -> Base -> Camera -> Type

This camera description is valid for all Bayer versions of the Mikrotron EoSens area scan cameras. For 8 or 10 bit per tap operation change the BitsPerPixel parameter, for other tap configurations change the PixelsPerCycle parameter. Also you may need to configure the camera via serial communication.

This camera will always work with 12 bit internally but if you want to capture only the 8 or 10 MSB of the signal the BitsPerPixel parameter can be changed. The capture device(frame grabber) will skip the other bits then.

This camera description is valid for all Sony XCL-5000 cameras. For 8, 10 or 12(default) bit mono operation change the BitsPerPixel parameter and configure the camera via serial communication.

This camera description is valid for all Sony XCL-5005 and XCL-5005CR cameras. For 8, 10 or 12(default) bit mono(or RAW for color models) operation change the BitsPerPixel parameter and configure the camera via serial communication. For dual tap operation set the PixelsPerCycle parameter to 2 and configure the camera via serial communication. For color models set the Format parameter to Bayer to enable automatic color conversion inside the device driver OR set the BitsPerPixel parameter to 24 and the Format parameter to RGB and configure the camera via serial communication. In the latter mode the camera can deliver 8 bits per color component only.
