Newsletter 01/2016
Hello,
in 2016 we are celebrating our 30th anniversary. We are proud of 30 years of innovation in the IT sector and 25 years in the industrial image processing. But we do not intend to rest on our laurels.
As an example, take a look at our new mvBlueGEMINI smart camera with its pioneering, easy to use concept. The camera combines powerful hardware with intuitive software and enables both users without any programming knowledge and developers without any knowledge of image processing to perform visual inspection tasks quickly and cost efficiently. However, mvBlueGEMINI also offers the flexibility required by professionals. If a task requires a client-specific tool, the software can be readily expanded with the client’s own library. Ask for a demonstration of the mvBlueGEMINI and secure a Starterkit at a special price.
In the timeline on our website you can see what made us to what we are now. Join us in a journey through time starting in the year 1986 and experience three decades of innovation in image processing. Enjoy the trip!
Regards,
Your MATRIX VISION Team
An inspection in just a few minutes - our new video shows how

Our claim was clear: Everyone should be able to solve an inspection task. Our video shows, how you can solve inspection tasks visually, quickly, and cost-efficiently without any programming knowledge and without any knowledge of image processing.
Sony CMOS sensors for traffic applications

For applications in the traffic sector, Sony introduced the Pregius sensors with reduced frame rates. The IMX265 global shutter CMOS sensor with 3 Mpixels will extend the mvBlueFOX3-2 USB3 Vision family.
The reduced pixel size (3.45 µm) increases the pixel density in conjunction with C-mount lenses. Thanks to decreased image noise and a dynamic range at levels in excess of 71 dB the sensor offers an improved image quality with higher resolution. The gray scale model will be available by the end of March, the color model in Q2/2016:
mvBlueFOX3-2032a G/C
1/1.8" CMOS sensor IMX265
3.2 Mpixels (2064 x 1544)
55 fps at full resolution
We also expand our GigE Vision portfolio with Sony CMOS sensors

Die für den Verkehrsbereich gedachten neuen Pregius-Sensoren von Sony mit reduzierter Framerate werden auch das Portfolio der Gigabit Ethernet Kameras mvBlueCOUGAR-X erweitern.
The Pregius sensors by Sony with reduced frame rate for the traffic sector will expand the mvBlueCOUGAR-X Gigabit Ethernet camera portfolio.
Especially in the traffic sector, sensors are required which have no problems with changing lighting conditions. The global shutter CMOS sensors by Sony stand out thanks to the decreased image noise levels and a high dynamic range at levels in excess of 71dB. Again, the gray scale models will be available by the end of March and the color models in Q2/2016:
mvBlueCOUGAR-X104i G/C
1/1.8" CMOS sensor IMX265
3.2 Mpixels (2064 x 1544)
37 fps at full resolution
mvBlueCOUGAR-X105b G/C
2/3" CMOS sensor IMX264
5.1 Mpixels (2448 x 2048)
25.5 fps at full resolution
Calculating the depth of field

We upgraded our famous lens calculator: with the given aperture we can calculate the depth of field of the selected camera and the given object environment. Just try it.
