The USB 2.0 cameras are used as vision components in robot soccer. This means that a computer captures the playing surface with the cameras, calculates the situation and the resulting actions and then controls the individual robot players by radio. The requirements for the cameras are:

  • Fail-safe

  • High image quality

  • Secure and high data transmission
