Easing of supply situation in sight

The current supply bottlenecks for electronic components are affecting many product areas, both industrial and consumer. Our cameras are also partially affected. As the supply situation for some key components remains tight, we have initiated a redesign based on alternative components with reliable availability as quickly as possible in order to ensure delivery capability. This redesign will be offered as an additional revision parallel to the existing products. In doing so, it was important to us to ensure compatibility with the previous products, so that users can switch easily with small changeover efforts. Integration of new software functions is therefore not necessary. Even the product designations and mechanical properties remain the same.

Alternative mvBlueCOUGAR-X cameras coming soon

Initially, alternative revisions will be available for the important GigE camera series mvBlueCOUGAR-X. Our development department is working at full speed to finalize them. In parallel, the firmware will be adapted to the new components, so that the first cameras can be expected to be delivered as early as June 2022. Our procurement and production are already geared with additional capacities to restore the usual delivery capability shortly thereafter.

USB3 cameras of the mvBlueFOX3 series in the next step

Directly after the mvBlueCOUGAR-X the release for the mvBlueFOX3 series with alternative hardware will follow. Here, too, high compatibility is ensured and you can expect the proven robustness and transmission reliability of the image data.

No restrictions with other camera series

Other camera series like the smart 3D camera rc_visard, our 10GigE camera mvBlueCOUGAR-XT and the new embedded vision cameras of the mvBlueNAOS series are currently available without restrictions.
