The intelligent camera mvBlueLYNX is used as an autonomous and adaptive tracking system. Here, the camera uses three concepts:
Multiple particle filters enable robust operation of multimodal PDFs and non-linear systems.
An adaptive mechanism increases robustness by adapting to slow changes of the target object.
A simple diagnostic program controls the degree of adaptation.
The camera system computes all data in the system and outputs only the results. The camera can be used for robotics (visual servoing) and for surveillance (people tracking).
