In the aviation industry, industrial cameras are mainly used for surveillance. They allow pilots to see the full picture, from the cabin to the cargo hold. Industrial cameras can also allow pilots to see in unmanned flights, from the control centre. The extreme environmental conditions within an assignment are full of contrast: from cold to warm, from bright to dark, from calm to turbulent. None of this must be able to damage an industrial camera.
Example applications in aviation
- Cabin monitoring
- Cargo hold monitoring
- Air-to-air refuelling
- Unmanned aeroplanes
