In order to capture spatial contours of moving and still objects, lasers are used as structured lighting in many image processing systems. This makes it possible to detect defects, presence, diameter, angles, gaps etc., to measure them and to adjust them in the next step. In this process, different laser lines or patterns and wavelengths are used depending on the area of application and the object. If the images are saved, traceability is guaranteed.
In laser processing, industrial cameras increase process reliability and ensure a higher product quality thanks to an automated laser beam or work piece positioning.
