mvBlueCOUGAR-S - Gigabit Ethernet cameras
The growing availability of Gigabit Ethernet (in short GigE) interfaces in network components, desktop computers as well as laptops makes it only a question of time until the GigE interface becomes an accepted standard. The technology itself features significant advantages which will open up new possibilities for the image processing industry. For this purpose MATRIX VISION offers the suitable solution: the new Gigabit Ethernet camera mvBlueCOUGAR-S.
Beside the well-known advantages of the Ethernet network technology like cost-efficient standard cables, long distances (up to 100 m) and easy network integration, the mvBlueCOUGAR-S benefits from the higher transfer rate of the Gigabit Ethernet technology. This transfer rate - namely up to one Gigabit/s is also guaranteed on distances up to ten kilometres using optical transmission paths (fibre optic cables).
The GigE camera mvBlueCOUGAR-S has CCD sensors with the resolutions 640 x 480 pixels (frame rate: 90 Hz), 1024 x 768 pixels (36 Hz) und 1360 x 1024 pixels (30 Hz) in each case as color and monochrome versions. Additionally the camera offers one digital input and one digital output for trigger and flash as well as a C-mount lens holder.
Furthermore, the camera supports the GigE Vision interface standard and is compliant to GenICam, the software interface to GigE Vision.
