Speed up your application with Dual GigE Vision camera mvBlueCOUGAR-XD
For all the racers looking to speed up and optimize their Ethernet application’s “lap times”, MATRIX VISION offers the mvBlueCOUGAR-XD family which provides a number of features to achieve the perfect setup.
To recognize all details of the circuit, for example, the camera family has a wide range of high-end CCD sensors from Sony with resolutions up to 9 Mpix (ADC: 14 bit) and CMOS sensors from CMOSIS (up to 4 Mpix; up to 12 bit ADC). Additionally the mvBlueCOUGAR-XD is ready to control a motorized lens or a video iris and the flange is adjustable. In June, the range of cameras will be extended with the brand new 2.3 Mpix global shutter CMOS sensor and the 12 Mpix global shutter CCD sensor both from Sony – a novelty in combination with a Dual-GigE camera.
Sony’s CMOS sensor will be available as mvBlueCOUGAR-XD104d and revolutionizes anything previously seen. The sensor is characterized by very high dynamic response, high speed, and very low noise. For this reason, the camera is suitable for applications with difficult light conditions and shorter shutter times are possible. The 1/1.2“ sensor has a resolution of 1936 x 1214 pixels and reaches 100 fps at full resolution.
The 12 Mpix CCD sensor is available as mvBlueCOUGAR-XD1212 with a resolution of 4250 x 2838 pixels and reaches 15 fps at full resolution.
In the pit stop, the mechanics will love the swiss army knife like large number of tools provided. Besides slow motion capturing, the camera features denoising via frame averaging, high dynamic range imaging and burst mode acquisitioning. The latter one is possible due to the large image memory of 256 MB. Furthermore the mvBlueCOUGAR-XD has four opto-isolated digital inputs with current limiters and four high-side solid state relay outputs e.g. to control LEDs.
