About USB 2.0
The consumer interface USB 2.0 was introduced in the year 2000 and there is no image processing standard. For this reason every manufacturer has its own proprietary driver. However, we offer a unified driver for all of our products: mvIMPACT Acquire SDK.
The USB 2.0 interface supports a gross bandwidth of 480 MBit/s. With a max. cable length of 3.5 m (using consumer cables) the interface is suitable for
- cost-critical applications and
- applications with short a distance between camera and processing unit.
